Compare total use with a per-person value
Gesamtverbrauch und Pro-Kopf-Werte vergleichen
Name the denominator, use the same period and explain why total and individual averages can move in different directions.
A total answers how much altogether; a per-person value divides that total by the number of people in the stated period. If 100 units serve 20 participants, the average is five units per participant. If 120 units serve 30, the average is four: the total rises while the per-person average falls. That is not a contradiction. State the denominator explicitly with pro Person, je Nutzung or bezogen auf … . Compare like periods and categories. An average does not mean every person used exactly that amount. Nor does lower use per person alone prove a lower total impact across every category. The fictional figures practise precise German explanations; they are not a claim about an actual product or environmental assessment.
Total use rose from one hundred to one hundred and twenty units.
At the same time, participant numbers increased from twenty to thirty.
Per person, the calculated average fell from five to four units.
Relative to the participant count, this therefore gives a different picture.
The average does not describe each individual person’s use.

Name the denominator, use the same period and explain why total and individual averages can move in different directions.
Do not say total use fell from 100 to 120 merely because per-person use fell from five to four.
Name the period and category → total ÷ relevant count → compare both total and average → do not assign the average to every individual.
Write a 180–220-word German explanation of fictional workshop data: week A 100 resource units and 20 participants; week B 120 units and 30 participants. Calculate both averages, state the total increase and average decrease, and explain why individual use and causes are not established by these totals.
