Recognise parcel statuses, say where a parcel is and arrange to collect it.

Unterwegs means on the way; wurde zugestellt means was delivered. Es liegt beim Nachbarn says the parcel is at the neighbour’s. To say you will collect it, use Ich hole es morgen ab. A Sendungsnummer is a tracking number. Review the separable verb abholen and the question words Wo and Wann. Wo ist das Paket? needs a location; Wann holen Sie es ab? needs a collection time. In that question, holen agrees with polite Sie and ab stays last.

Das Paket is one parcel. The status message uses wurde zugestellt for was delivered. When referring to the parcel again, use es. In Ich hole es morgen ab, hole agrees with ich and ab is at the end.

A notice may say the parcel is at a neighbour’s or an Abholstation, a collection point. Ask for the Sendungsnummer to identify the shipment. A request to klingeln concerns the doorbell, not the telephone.

Do not mix unterwegs with zugestellt: one means still on the way, the other reports delivery. In the collection sentence, keep ab from abholen; an does not form the requested verb.

On the way: unterwegs. Delivered: zugestellt. At the neighbour’s: beim Nachbarn. Collect: abholen. Doorbell: klingeln.

Use the lesson’s status and location phrases to describe a fictional parcel. Then say you will collect it tomorrow and ask someone politely to ring the example doorbell.
