At the post office, name the item, destination, and service you need. “schicken” sends something; “abholen” collects it.

Use “nach” with most country destinations, “Wie viel kostet …?” for price, and “Wie lange dauert …?” for duration.
This language handles basic parcel sending, collection, postage, and signatures.
Do not confuse sending a parcel with collecting one; “schicken” and “abholen” describe opposite directions.
