Everyday needs with brauchen
brauchen im Alltag
Say what you or your group need and ask a familiar person what they need.
Brauchen means need. Match its ending to the person: ich brauche, du brauchst, wir brauchen. Put the thing needed after the verb. Was brauchst du? asks a familiar person what they need. In the dialogue, Und was braucht ihr? asks what several familiar people need. Ihr takes braucht; the group answers with wir brauchen.
Ich brauche eine Pause.
I need a break.
Was brauchst du?
What do you need?
Ich brauche Hilfe.
I need help.

You can state a need directly with Ich brauche … . The phrase communicates the need; it does not guarantee that someone can meet it immediately.
Ich brauchen has the wrong ending. Use brauche with ich, brauchst with du and brauchen with wir. Need and want are not automatically the same meaning.
