German for cleaning work
Deutsch bei der Reinigung
Describe cleaning tasks and room status, request supplies, and give simple warnings.
Cleaning work needs clear words for rooms, supplies, surfaces, completion, and safety. Use short statements to report what is done or what is needed.
Ich putze das Zimmer.
I am cleaning the room.
Das Bett ist frisch bezogen.
The bed has fresh linen.
Ich brauche neue Handtücher.
I need new towels.
Der Mülleimer ist voll.
The bin is full.
Wo ist das Reinigungsmittel?
Where is the cleaning product?
Der Boden ist nass.
The floor is wet.
Zimmer 204 ist fertig.
Room 204 is ready.
Bitte nicht stören.
Please do not disturb.
Present-tense task statements use the verb in position two. Completed-status phrases often use ist + adjective/participle: Der Boden ist nass.
These forms support safe handovers and clear supply requests.
“Der Boden ist nass” is an important warning, but it does not say that you are cleaning the room.
Task → supply/problem → status → warning.
Report one room, request towels, warn about a wet floor, and confirm completion.
