What is the weather like today?

Use “Es ist + adjective” for temperature and fixed verbs such as “Es regnet” and “Es schneit” for weather events.

This language helps with forecasts, daily plans, travel, and choosing a jacket or umbrella.

Say “Es ist kalt,” not “Es ist Kälte.” “kalt” is the adjective needed after “ist.”
