Ask a price, decide whether to buy, request another size, and ask about card payment or the checkout.

Use Wie viel kostet das? to ask the price of one item. Answer Das kostet … Euro. Ich nehme das. means you will take it. Größer and kleiner ask for a larger or smaller version, and zu teuer means too expensive.

Wie viel kostet das?

How much does that cost?

Das kostet zehn Euro.

That costs ten euros.

Ich nehme das.

I’ll take that.

Haben Sie das größer?

Do you have that in a larger size?

Haben Sie das kleiner?

Do you have that in a smaller size?

Das ist zu teuer.

That is too expensive.

Kann ich mit Karte zahlen?

Can I pay by card?

Wo ist die Kasse?

Where is the checkout?

Start with a price question, listen for Euro, then say whether you want the item. Use Haben Sie das größer/kleiner? to ask for another size.

These phrases work in clothing shops, markets, supermarkets, and at the checkout.

Do not confuse Euro with Uhr: Euro is money; Uhr is used for clock time. Keep kostet singular with das.

Remember a shopping sequence: price → size → decision → payment → checkout.

Ask the price, reject it as too expensive, request a smaller size, then ask to pay by card.
