Questions: verb first and W-words

A yes/no question starts with the conjugated verb. A W-question starts with the question word, then the conjugated verb, then the subject.

Yes/no: Arbeitest du heute?

W-question: Wo wohnst du?

The verb form still agrees with the subject.

Use wer, was, wo, wann, wie and warum for different missing information.

Arbeitest du heute?

Wo wohnst du?

Wann beginnt der Kurs?
